The Truants are a dynamic band out of New York City that plays British invasion and garage rock covers, and -- as it says on the t-shirts -- nothing after 1967!
Fun follows The Truants. We play a relentless mix of Beatles, Stones, DC5, Zombies, Kinks, Byrds, Raiders, Rascals and more. At our Cutting Room show last March, Paul Shaffer hopped on stage and joined us for a couple of songs. Our "Friday On My Mind" lineup for Labor Day weekend includes hired gun guitarists John Merjave of the Weeklings and John Korba of the legendary Strawberry Fields. This is our first appearance at McLoones! We are honored, humbled... and ready to deal some righteous rock!
