After fifty years of actively performing in the music industry, legendary soul vocalist Teddy B. decided he wanted another band of his own, and founded Funky Junction in Long Branch, NJ. Since 2025, Funky Junction Band has emerged as a new force to be reckoned with on the Jersey Shore live music scene.

Joining Teddy on the front line is fellow powerhouse, Malcolm McDonald, together their infectious energy, charisma, inviting stage presence, and dynamic voices are truly unforgettable. Five passionate pro musicians complete the stellar line up, with decades of collective experience touring and performing on premier national and international stages.

Forget the horns! Funky Junction features a rich, layered, and unique dual keyboard sound. R&B/Soul and Funk by EWF, Sly Stone, James Brown, Aretha Franklin, Billy Paul, Teddy Pendergrass, Rick James and many more are seamlessly delivered. FJB honors these timeless classics, but injects a fresh new sound with a funky modern edge, igniting an exciting dance atmosphere that audience members of all ages feel from the very 1st note.
